Providing Innovative Solutions to Training and Implementation Challenges
Treatment Innovations
CIFFTA innovations include the adaptive and flexible framework that facilitates tailoring the intervention based on patient characteristics , preferences, and cultural profiles. Psycho-educational thematic modules facilitate the tailoring of treatment to unique clinical and cultural characteristics.
CIFFTA adaptive/flexible framework generates a profile of the adolescent and family that flags key issues (e.g., depression, substance use, immigration-related separations), preferences (e.g., what family or extended family members to involve in treatment), and client characteristics (e.g., LGBT, blended families, low acculturation). This profile serves to guide the tailoring and offers decision rules on the selection of modules and themes to work on with the family.
