The Children’s Trust

Training and Implementation Associates (TIA) provides innovative training and implementation support to the Family Services providers funded by The Children’s Trust (TCT) in the professional development area. The support is provided through innovative training and implementation strategies using advances in implementation science, adaptive training, and technology methods as well as the ability to engage and partner with national Evidence-based Practice (EBP) experts.
TIA provides TCT with expertise on best available measures and tools, and experts on specialty content (e.g., Strengthening Families Framework, cultural competence, working with youth who identify as LGBTQ and their families, families dealing with racial and ethnic stressors) that can benefit the work of the funded providers. TIA’s training and implementation strategies are culturally informed, address the diversity of our trainees, and ensure that the EBPs being implemented are culturally competent.
The primary program activities target six major areas: Course and Live Training Development, Live Training, Coaching, Peer Learning, Planning and Policy Support, Community Awareness and Outreach. We have partnered with three groups of experts who provide evidence-based interventions: Culturally Informed and Flexible Family Therapy with Adolescents (CIFFTA), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and the Family and Neighborhood Support Programs (FNSP).
